Scales many different names, and some times you can see different scales with the same name. On this page we list scales that solfege have or should have exercises for.

Please fix errors, or add comments if things are unclear.

Use notenames as used internally by solfege. The 12 tones are: c cis/des d dis/es e f fis/ges g gis/as a ais/bes b

These are the scales in Solfege 2.1.10:

I have seen different definitions of 'Hungarian gipsy' and 'Hungarian minor'. Have to check better sources to find out what is correct. --TomCato

http://www.hochweber.ch/improvisation/skalen/skalen.htm is in German and has Midi samples (Gipsy minor = Zigeunermoll)
http://www.renesenn.de/ska-alle.htm says to be comprehensive.
http://www.coolmaps.at/korajaliya/d/tonleitern.htm is very exoitic: It presents the scales of a Kora with mp3 samples :)

-- May we have melodic minor modes as well (very important for Jazz students) ? This will mean locrian #2 and other jazz modes...
