Check the bug tracker for similar questions. If not, email solfege-devel@lists.sourceforge.net. Please say which version of solfege you use, and please reply to emails with follow up questions. Don't waste my time if you don't intend to answer email from me.

Windows errors about DLL files

You will get error messages if an older (or maybe newer) version of the DLL files included in Solfege is installed in C:\WINDOWS or C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM. Two examples of such error messages:

If this happens you need to remove the DLL mentioned in the error message. Since it is possible that you need the file for another program you should first just rename it, for example to junk-libxml2.dll, and see if some of your other programs fail. Is is very possible that the files are left overs from and old install of some free software that you have uninstalled.

You might have to repeat this with several DLL files.

Installing Solfege 3.12.0 over an previous version (on XP or Vista) fails

Yes, there was a bug in 3.12.0. Try 3.12.1 instead.
