The IdeaThis page does not desribe the current implementation. It was a draft used for discussion. Parts of it has been implemented. GNU Solfege is growing in complexity. We get more exercises, lessonfiles, configurations, tests and theory. We want to keep Solfege transparent for both coders and users. At this point, GNU Solfege lets the user select exercises, open lessonfiles and set configuration all by herself. This free learning environment offers lots of possibilities to people studying independently. Teachers though want to guide their pupils in their use of GNU Solfege. And many pupils want or need guidance: the right exercise at the right time. GNU Solfege needs more transparency and additional room for guidance. The question is how to get there.
